The second national Quran competition for girls and women in the Republic of Tatarstan will be held on May 2-3 in the capital Kazan.

It will be organized by the Islamic University of Russia in collaboration with the Nur-ol-Quran Institute.

Girls and women of 7 to 30 years of age can take part in the contest’s four categories: recitation of the holy Quran, memorization of two sections (Juzes) with Tarteel recitation, memorization of three sections with Tarteel recitation and memorization of five sections with Tarteel recitation.

Prominent Quran reciters and memorizers from the Khavzuv Quran Center, affiliated to the Islamic University of Russia, will be the judges at the competition.

The Republic of Tatarstan is a predominantly Muslim region in southern Russia.
